More stones

A tour of the Caithness peninsula today, starting in some pretty grim weather. After a wet dun,  it was on to a chambered cairn as the weather dired, the aptly named Hill o' Many Stanes, Caithness' answer to Carnac.
The image above is a different site, a curious horseshoe collection of standing stones, made even odder by the fact that the stones are perpenduclar to the line rather than the usual aligned along the line.
The highlight for Tricia would have been another form of rock, visiting the Rock Rose gin distillery - we discoved this was here after sampling their wares in the local hotel last night whilst waiting for our excellent take away fish and chips.
The Puffins at Dunnet Head possibly also featured on her list.
