Sa Caleta

There's a Phoenecian settlement here, apparently they arrived in 650BC and there's lots of evidence of their village here at Sa Caleta. It was also an important place in the mid 1930s during the Spanish civil war and then during the second world war. There are areas that have been sunk into the ground and this place was to provide protection for Ibiza Town. On a different note, the orange cliffs are popular here as the clay/mud is meant to be brilliant for your skin, so lots of sunbathers lie covered in the stuff! Danny and I came here with coffee straight after the school run. We had a couple of hours together before other things needed to happen. Good to walk and talk and take in the beauty.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Time with Danny.
2) Waving to Sole who was waiting for us at the window.
3) Hearing from Davide throughout the day - happy to have arrived in Germany and ready for new things.
