Secret Rendezvous

I left the house for the Bus stop on Harrogate Road, intending to take a long, slow bus ride through Town  up to Middleton (not a destination) then westwards to the White Rose Shopping Centre. The day was soggy but I needed to get out and about, so the 'Mall' seemed a sensible option. Its about 30 years old now; Home to Debenhams (ouch!), Primark, and a mini M&S, it offers plenty of parking and it is a long, airy light filled dry space. When I was a full-time driver it was no bother (outside rush hours) to zip over there, past Elland Road, quick shop, a wait at Supercuts for a haircut, then zip back home. WRSC was also a much required and rated 5 star  pit-stop when I was working in that neck of the woods.
My First Bus Travel app feels like I've gained the freedom of the city.  So when my expected slow bus journey turned out to be too slow I hopped off at the Corn Exchange in Town.

The main is the newest Shopping Arcade in Leeds, Victoria Gate and is home to the lovely John Lewis. They like an arcade in Leeds.

The extra is the Victoria Quarter, Briggate.  Designed in 1900 it received a face lift this Century.
