All I know, is that To me

I was flower arranging tonight.    I didn't really have to - I picked up the flowers from the Florist and I would quite happily have just had them the way they were -nothing done to them.

Is there anything more lovely than a peony?   When I picked them up they were quite tight -by the end of the class- beautiful, pink, fluffy, balls of such an intense perfume, I was quite, quite content.

They are even more puffy now.   Heavenly.

Himself I and Took a meander around the plot last night - make sure that the newly planted sweet corn had survived the rain - and thankfully it had.

We took the typical detour around the beach and stopped at the harbour - I just wanted to soak in some sea and sky; it wasn't our intention to decamp from the car - but we spotted some interesting movement in the water, and took off like whippets (okay - slight exaggeration) to the far end of the harbour beach.

It was nothing, it was only the waves breaking on low rocks which we couldn't see; but we pootered around looking in the rock ponds, spotting hermit crabs and little prawns.   Then we wandered back up to the car and headed home.

I was ready for home and bed but stayed up to have some hot chocolate, and then a read of my book to ensure that when I was ready for bed I was all calm and chilled.  I took ages last night to get to sleep - and was really needing a great nights sleep.
