Day started well with a pleasant walk to the station train on time and lovely sea views from the train / apparently it’s Eyemouth. However we stoped just before Newcastle aNd had a very slow, stop and go journey until south of Durham- cows on the line! Some earlier trains were cancelled so ours was busy. Arrived at Newark about 45 mins late just as it started to rain so another wet walk between stations. . Still raining when I got to Nottingham so caught the bus home/ that bit of the journey was very efficient!
