Mind the step

Without going back to check, I am quite sure that my friend Ian crops up fairly regularly in this blog, almost always in the context of us meeting for a boozy, late lunch somewhere in the Northern Quarter.

I guess we would usually get together two or three times a year but I reckon that the lockdown and general covid situation combined with our haphazard organisational skills means that I haven't seen him for over eighteen months.

So it was a delight to meet up with him, today, on a newly pedestrianised Thomas Street, where it was warm enough to sit outside for a couple of beers before moving into Cane and Grain for some food. And later on we were joined for a drink by my eldest, Charlie, which was the icing on the cake.

And, on the way home, apropos of nothing, a little Kraftwerk poster! (See extra)
