A Repeat on a Nicer Day

I couldn’t resist retaking this photo I did a few weeks ago on a clearer, sunnier day, and I’ve added an extra from on the pier too. A day for getting some jobs done.

Day 434 / Day 8 of Step 3 of Roadmap Easing (for my record only)
Over a third of local authorities in England have seen a rise in cases. Those with the highest cases are Bolton, Blackburn with Darwen and Bedford - all of which are struggling to control the Indian variant. The WHO says that 75% of the world’s vaccine supply has been distributed across just 10 countries. The PM will now wait longer than the end of May to report on social distancing, due to the Indian variant. A study has shown that bio-detection dogs can pick up the smell of COVID-19 with an accuracy of 94.3%, even if someone is asymptomatic, how amazing is that! I wonder how long it will be before they’re screening passengers at airports. Healthwatch England have said that some people have been told it would be 3 years before they could get NHS dental treatment and there’s a suspicion that private treatment is being prioritised. 9 parts of England are taking part in trials of different means of supporting people to self-isolate - this is essential to get right if we are to live with the virus. 3 researchers in the Wuhan Institute for Virology were admitted to hospital in Nov per the Wall St Journal, a month before the first cases were reported.
