Sunday: Contrasts

It was a cloudier day today so we used to catch up with a few jobs such as tax returns, which are right up there when it comes to excitement.  This afternoon we watched ‘Notes On A Scandal’.  We’d seen it some years ago but had forgotten how good it was.

High drama when I went out for a walk this evening.  A little further down the street an eagle had swooped and taken two chicks out of the nest.  Sadly the eagle dropped them and both were dead on the side of the road.  Grieving crows can be very fierce and they were swooping anyone who came too close to the chicks.  On my way back one of them flew into my shoulder as I’d obviously ventured a little close.
