A warmer evening

The guy down the veg shop reckoned geranium are good for repelling horseflies. I’ve seen someone selling citronella and geranium oil as a repellent to put on horses. We’re still two months from the season for the blighters.

The many rows of beans and chickpeas I’ve planted are finally emerging from the wet soil. Cool nights are holding everything back. 20mm of rain forecast tomorrow and nights still getting down to 7C. That doesn’t stop the grasses, cleaver, and many other things from growing like crazy. Cutting is needed almost continuously at the moment. While precious growing days pass by.
