Cygnet time
These cygnets have grown quite a lot since I saw them just over a week ago but they were still a delight to see today when we took Eda and Jude up to Coppice Pond this morning.
Eda was thrilled to see and feed them, Jude was just a bit bemused and spent as much time watching crazy Granny trying to get a photo of everybody!
We walked around the pond and the family followed us to the little bay so we could feed them again and the pen and cygnets came ashore for a bit of preening and sleep.
We enjoyed our 1 hour plus with no rain but it was cold!
As we returned to the car Eda discovered the twisty tree ( Rhododendron ) and wanted to climb it declaring it her favourite ever tree!
A more sedate afternoon to give everyone a rest and then we are having Uncle Alex to ‘Christmas’ dinner later, though the C word isn’t being mentioned in case someone thinks there might be presents! It’s only 5 months late!
