Still raining

I remember last year we had rain like this but it came earlier in the spring. The fields were full of water and planting was delayed for a long time. In fact some fields were planted twice. This year the rain has come later and corn had just sprouted before it was submerged in all this rain. It will probably be alright so long as it doesn't rot before it really gets going.
Today is Oliver's birthday; he is 10, so another trip out for cake and ice cream!
