Grass

We haven't had any rain today yet! since last Saturday we have had 6.5 inches and the grass has grown very well and seems to know that it is not going to come under the mower any time soon! it may well be another week before it is dry enough to cut. I imagine a lot of hay will be lost this year, or if it is harvested, will be of pretty low protein content. Not many  farmers make silage round here given that May is usually warm and dry.
