Ash on a sandy lane

A very visible sign of the local soil, sometimes it’s like coming in off a beach in this house.  Welcome sign of an ash opening over the lane - I am peering at all of them to see if they are coming back.  

The wind really started fiercely this afternoon which makes me feel anxious and stressed.  I am not the only one it does this too but other people are baffled by it! I think often of Miss Flyte in Bleak House driven mad by ‘the wind is in the East!
