Hibiscus flower offerings at the feet of the Lord Gomateshwara statue near Karkala.  This enormous stone effigy is regarded as one of the largest monolithic statues in the world.  Dating to 1432 AD, it is over 42 feet tall, and weighs an estimated 80 tons.
