River Tyne Sunset

We had another camera club outing this evening, this time to the town of Corbridge (about 15 miles west of Newcastle). The weather was a lot better than it was for our outing to Seaton Sluice last Tuesday! We were treated to a gorgeous sunset over the Tyne: this shot was taken from the old road bridge over the river.

I'd already prepared a Tiny Tuesday blip, as I didn't know what the weather would be like for our outing but I'm afraid this sunset shot caused me to relegate my "Vegetable" TT shot to the extra, so I hope our TT host for this month, freespiral doesn't mind! I'm still experimenting with super macro shots (like my ladybird last Tuesday) and this is an extreme close-up of a tiny portion of a teasel. It's a 25-layer focus stack but there's still some bits of it not quite properly focussed so I'll have to continue experimenting!
