Into the Brecons...
We walked from our cottage today. It's what we like to do on the first day of a holiday. We walked to Carreg Cennen Castle. We had a bit of rerouting to do as we met a stream in spate which we couldn't cross safely. But we still made it to the castle. This is the view looking towards the Brecon Beacons, where we hope to walk later in the week.
On our return we also had to reroute again as a footpath had become blocked by vegetation and a fence! I suspect this route hadn't been walked for a while.
The weather did exactly the opposite to what was forecast - we had sunshine for most of the day and it was meant to be showery.
The extra image is of Tate and Lyle, the pygmy goats in the field next to us. They belong to the owners of the barn we're staying in. They're very friendly and often come over for a good scratch.
