Brave Little Daffodils
It is nearly impossible to believe that only a few days ago we were snowmobiling!
We have had temperatures well above freezing the past couple of days and the snow is making a hasty retreat. The places where the sun isn't directly shining are even wearing thin....
At the east side of the house, between the house and garage, there is still a thin layer of icy, crusty "sugar snow". It is that granular snow that doesn't pack together, but is hard and like individual "grains". It is there that I looked in wonderment as I thought something was poking through the last vestiges of snow!
Surely enough, those brave Daffodils are making a statement. They will not be put off by weather...cold, snowy, miserable, or whatever......Spring really is coming!
