Gorse on the line

Fragrant gorse bushes lining The Formartine and Buchan Way, the former railway line to Fraserburgh and Peterhead from Aberdeen. This was taken on the Fraserburgh branch looking towards the Broch just north of Rathen Station.

There were other flowers including violets, speedwell and cowslips blooming along this stretch. The extra shows a patch of cowslips.
