View from the deck - almost B&W

If you look at this long-lens shot with your eyes slightly squinted, and you hold your mouth just right, you can almost convince yourself that this is a black-and-white photo.
But in reality, it's more of a grey-on-grey shot: grey clouds reflected in grey water, except for those patches where the sun is bouncing off the water, making for very light, bright grey highlights, verging on silver.
The ship on the horizon fits in nicely with this tonal scheme, being rendered a very dark grey, almost black - like the horizon itself - by the diffracting effect of light travelling a long distance over water.
So for all intents and purposes, a black-and-white photo; but with enough  baked-in hints of other-than-grey colour not to be one.
Best of both formats; beholden to neither.
