Cold and Wet

Back to cold and wet weather today. I nipped into Sheringham first thing to get a few things from the shops and to look at the demolition of the derelict seafront hotel at the end of the high street, see extra. This has been a real eye sore for years and is in a prominent position, so it’s good to see it being taken down to be redeveloped into shops and housing.

The BMA says that easing lockdown restrictions is a ‘real worry’ which a lot of adults have yet to be vaccinated. The public in Bolton have been urged to get their jab if eligible at vaccination centres. There’s still uncertainty as to whether the Olympics will go ahead, with c70% of the public in Japan against it in a survey. 21,000 fans were allowed in Wembley for the FA Cup final after showing proof of a negative test - with the news yesterday I hope that wasn’t a mistake.
