Red-headed woodpecker

A beautiful day today, though still a little cool for the time of year. Roger was working outside again in the morning, though he did come in for a break when Laura called - you never have a short call with a Laura! At least I got some knitting done while we talked! While we were talking with her, this red-headed woodpecker appeared at the feeder. We don’t often see him in the garden, usually in the woods, when we are hiking, so I snapped a couple of photos of him. It’s not the clearest focus, since it was taken through the breakfast room window.
This afternoon we went cycling, but for some reason I was feeling rather sluggish, and only did 12 miles return. We did a quick shop on the way home, then after a cup of tea, it was time for handbell practice at church.
