Soggy cistus

This shows you why I’ve not been out today, except to the front garden to take this.  A few years ago I heard garden advice to get plants which can survive hot dry weather (ironically) so I got some lavender, rosemary, and this cistus.  I love these papery flowers.  The pollen is too soggy for the bees today, though, sadly.
