I just had to blip May blossom at some point this month. Last year, shielding and restricting ourselves to house and garden, we missed the flowering completely. The first time in my life ever, I really missed it.

So I am really enjoying the sight of hawthorn bushes and trees in full flower right now.

There will be further easing of lockdown measures from next Monday. It has to be a good thing, although we are remaining cautious for ourselves. And the position in close by Bolton is worrying. Not only are infection rates the highest in the country, but they seem to be rising fast. Presumably the Indian variant is taking hold, if it spreads it could get “interesting”.
