Tiny Tuesday: A Sphinx?

I came upon this Twin-Spotted Sphinx Moth clinging to the stalk of a columbine. It's a moth I have never seen before. The extra shows this moth in profile.

I was surprised that the moth remained on the same columbine stalk for a few hours as I worked around the garden passing nearby several times.
