A Restaurant with a View

I got treated to lunch at our revolving restaurant today! 360deg views of Dubai... here is just one of them. Not the clearest day for a pic like this but better than the last few we've had. An unusual yellow "cloud" seemed to hang mid-air. You can see the city as it spreads out away from the Creek. I chose this particular one because the Burj Al Arab is visible in it as well.

The two golden things in the foreground are entrances to the Palm Deira metro station.

Went for a Lebanese meal at our local in the evening. Friends leaving tonight - it takes all of 10 minutes from my flat to the airport at midnight... and I am told I will get my car back tomorrow! Woo hoo!
