Thanks for all your tips on classic children's books. I think AA Milne was a clear winner, but there were some suggestions that I'm not familiar with so we'll have fun checking them out!
Whilst at my Mum's I unearthed a cache of Mary Plain books, which I remember enjoying when I was a nipper. I wonder if they've stood the test of time...
