...of the spring. They're in fuller bloom in town where it's a degree or two warmer.
More time spent outdoors today. On the radio I heard that the first cicadas have emerged somewhere, though not here yet. A reporter interviewed a Chinese historian, who said that in ancient times carved cicadas were placed in tombs of the dead as a symbol of renewal.
Taking I. for a Covid test tomorrow morning; if negative, she'll probably be allowed to participate in in-person orchestra tomorrow night, as there's a CDC guideline that if you test negative after day 5, you can end quarantine after day 7. Tomorrow night is the final recording session of the year and senior recognitions, so that would be nice. Not counting on the schools to alter their policy, but that's ok.
