Bath Time!

The wonderful cleaning lady was here today - as well as her normal routine she spent a little time in the Lodger’s room as he is coming back finally next week. He’s a part-time lodger (Mon-Fri) and has been working from home since before the first lockdown. He returned last summer for 6 weeks but then worked from home again when everyone was encouraged to do so again last September. I don’t think at the time we thought it would take this long before he’d go back to commuting again!

A few days ago I had the carpets cleaned for the whole of the upstairs and have even bought new sheets and towels for him so am getting the room ready for his return. It will be good to have some company at long last during the week! I used to have two part-time lodgers but knew right away that the other one wouldn’t return as his job changed completely.

While the cleaning lady was here I went out and ran a couple of errands - an exchange at Sainsbury’s followed by a much needed car wash. They thoroughly cleaned inside and out and it’s now sparkly and smells nice! In another few days I’ll take Alfie the Campervan for a similar treatment, though I generally let them just do the outside.

I finished another puzzle a few days ago (see extra photo). I usually let it sit out for a few days to enjoy but then it all goes back in the box before the cleaning lady arrives. This was a really fun one to do, and not too difficult. I started a new one this evening - which I suddenly realised will probably be quite difficult!
