The Woodland Garden (Wednesday 5th May 2021)
Had an enjoyable Woody Wednesday morning seeing to the garden and doing odd tasks. Our local LibDem councillor called again with some pre-election literature and the landscapers continued work laying paving stones next door, with a concrete mixer on the driveway (see Extra).
I felt that two Japanese acers that Refna and I had relocated the previous week were not standing out enough when seen from the porch, so we moved them again before they got used to their new site. As the trolley had rusted to a point where it was no longer functional, it too was relocated and festooned with pots that will be filled with annuals
The second Extra shows a cornflower on the Driveway Patch at the top of the drive. I took fifty-three usable photographs during the day, mostly after lunch when Refna was long gone, and had to retake some due to leaving the card out of the camera after the first batch, a favourite trick. The replacements never feel as successful as the lost ones would have been - First World problems.

Bob Marley & the Wailers - Concrete Jungle (recorded live, 25-27 June 1978, Pavillon Baltard, Paris)
Bob Marley (vcl, rh gtr) and the Wailers: Tyrone 'Organ D' Downie (kbds, vcl), Earl 'Wire' Lindo (kbds), Julian 'Junior' Marvin (ld gtr), Al Anderson (ld gtr), Aston 'Family Man' Barrett (bass), Carlton Barrett (dr, perc), Alvin 'Seeco' Patterson (perc) with the I-Threes (Rita Marley, Marcia Griffiths, Judy Mowatt)(vcl)
I have reached the live album Babylon By Bus in my box set of The Complete Island Recordings (the albums only, sadly), mostly taken from the Kaya Tour, and this is considered to be the definitive version of Concrete Jungle. The song was originally was the A-side of a 1971 Jamaican single, but was re-recorded the following year for the album Catch A Fire.
