One More, Promise

We had a cool morning but the day’s weather was perfect for yard work. I wanted to share my last blooming azalea bush, please indulge me. Hubby and I spent hours with the gardens in front of my she shed. We need a couple more edgers before it becomes my blip, if it even makes the cut. The holly tree can grow to be 6’ x 6’ so we had to only plant a few items in the beds. I will add some bulbs this fall. My son and his wife celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary yesterday. He wanted to surprise his wife with dinner (for 8) tonight so he asked for my assistance. I baked two types of potatoes, prepared vegetables for grilling and made a salad with many ingredients. He was very appreciative. He actually needed my help two other times today - meet him at a car shop at 8:00 am and keep an eye on things while the sprinkler folks were at his house. Even with these interruptions, I got over 11,000 steps. We had a new exterior door installed in hubby’s workshop. Wet weather plays havoc with the entries. I think we should build a small roof over each of them. We had wings, baked potato and a wilted lettuce (from my garden) salad. Yum! Hubby and I are truly blessed to have good health and enough mobility to accomplish our goals. Thanks for dropping by.
