Rooted Out

A fine evening, but unfortunately the sun wasn't quite cooperating. When it was out, other trees blocked its path and when they didn't, it was in. But I liked the perspective on this root system anyway.

I got close with a wide angle to emphasize the roots and push the trunk further back. The mossy trunk providing a focal point for the roots to lead into.

The roots get exposed by erosion from heavy rains because the tree sits in a wash.
