Raining confetti

Not enough sleep again......bin men woke me early too, ( they did manage to empty my geeen bin, despite its weight!) didn't rush to get up though, by the time I was up, ready & downstairs, it was after 10!

A brightish morning, but blustery and so cold!!
Did a few chores, made some egg mayo for lunch, in wholemeal flatbread, which was nice!
Left home....planned to walk, but the weather looked very threatening, so drove into town for my 1.30 eye test. Was gutted to find that our usual optometrist has retired early, her replacement is a nice guy, but it felt like another link between us and hub had been removed, the new chap never met him :-/ No noticeable changes so dont need a new prescription thankfully.

Pouring down when I left, walked up the road to go and cast my vote. As I came out, hood up, head down as I walked down the path back to the mainroad.....suddenly a very loud horn blasted right behind me, absolutely scared me to death!! A woman in blooming great rangerover, driving down there to park for free at the bottom no doubt, roared by me. As i got to the bottom, she was just getting out, I found myself saying "that was a bit uncalled for!" she yelled "well you shouldnt be walking in the middle of the **** road" .....have to say i saw red, "its hardly a road, more like a wide footpath, you ***** moron!! Really not sure what came over me, but it was so uncalled for, all she needed to do was touch her accelerator a little and I would have heard the engine and moved to the side. Sounds silly but it really upset me :-/ Anyhow, not sure who was more shocked her or me lol! Went and got myself a coffee to calm my nerves, sat in the car to drink it.Drove home and got stuck into more phone calls and emailing of various documents, gradually getting through it.

I have finally closed my fundraising page this morning, as I got the letter I was waiting for ocnfirming that the donations made will be used for Lung Cancer Research.....the final figure on the letter isnt quite right, see extras, as I made one final donation to round it up to £4,000! A massive thankyou to those of you who kindly contributed to this fabulous total, hub would have been blown away xxx

Made veggie tagine with couscous and a grilled fillet of mackrel for my tea.....lots left for the freezer.

Todays blip is a typical sight at the moment, all the lovely blossom being blown around, looks like there has been lots of weddings!!!
Even the car looks like a blue dalmatian with pink spots lol!!

Stay safe peeps!!
