In addition to the yellow wagtails bobbing along the river we came across Mick, 30 years in Ripon, many more years in all parts of the globe. Lovely, engaging humour, rapier-like wit, forthright views and, by his own admission, now of an age where he doesn’t mind speaking his mind. And for those who are interested, a New Wine sweatshirt. 

And that seems to be one of the defining features of our last 6 months in Yorkshire, the people here are very warm, very friendly, very open and very honest. Brilliant!
