Swimming in the bath

Just recently I have really began to pine for live theatre, I love the unexpected, the transportation away from the norm, the bravery of the actors and the sheer creativity. So I was delighted when I found that I could engage with a performance through an app and my headphones - in my bathroom!

It was 'Swim Home', a 40 minute immersive experience reenacting the joy of swimming in your bath. Sounds strange - it was - but also joyful and fun and meaningful.

It took you back to swimming as a child, the sounds and smells, the expectations and sometimes the fear and it also brought you back to the presence and the feel of warm water on your skin, the sound of the drip drop of the water and the emergence into the deliciousness of the warm water. Not sure if this could be reenacted in a theatre!
