Homfirth, au revoir

I'm so glad we finally got around to coming to stay in Holmfirth, although when we booked it we didn't realise that I'd be so preoccupied! So while we often say we will go back to places we've enjoyed but rarely do, we're determined we'll come back here; it's a lovely town and the cottage we stayed in was a beauty. (Also, I am tempted by some longer runs!)

There was time for a quick trip into town this morning, primarily to visit the lovely little sweet shop to buy treats for the kids and my classmates at college, which is where I was this afternoon.

The drive back from Holmfirth to Manchester was a treat, too. It's basically one road from the cottage to the Manchester ring road, and it takes you past this stunning and huge natural amphitheatre with reservoirs at the bottom. We need to go there, too!
