Woman's Day a day late...

Mrs C arrived this morning and this is what was awaiting her! So nice to be a full family again, though I have been a bit contankerous today all the same.

We took CC to the natural science museum for the first time and she was enamoured by the dinasaurs. We couldn't really look at anything prior as she wanted so badly to see them and then was hard to get her to go on afterward. So great to see she has a full curiousity and to confront with all the stories and images she has created in her head. Kind of like George in Peppa Pig today... haha

Here is day two playing with the old Russian lenses. Today was the 80 mm MC-Volna-3 (Arsat lense). Again, I am still waiting no. 2 lense adapter. So I am just holding the lense up to the camera... and of course I did what I shouldn't have and dropped it! ha- a bit of a kick from the foot to soften the fall and then a roll on the carpet onto the hard floor. oops. No harm done. Really nice effect with this lense. Even when I stopped it down to f22, it had a nice bokeh though more controlled. Full open at f2.8 and the DOF is insane! Also difficult to shoot into the light and needs the big rubber lense hood which I figured out pretty quickly.

Happy Woman's Day! -if even a day late...
