Safer
Ellen and I were given our second vaccination today.
Eighteen months ago there was foreboding; then came alarm; then came fear. Scientists across the globe built on what they knew, plugged gaps of things they didn't know, advised as best they could, developed vaccines, in large scale research programs the vaccines were tested and some were good, then the manufacturers started production, then distribution, then the NHS organised the biggest mass vaccination programme we have ever had in this country, and there was testing and reassurance.
I felt that huge global effort entering my arm this afternoon.
A couple in the queue - strangers to me - complained about the wait of 30 minutes before they received their vaccination. It is a matter of perspective.
