Marion and her book
I got my hair cut today and decided to embrace the grey. The dye is cast!
While I was otherwise engaged Mr C delivered some courgette, kale etc plants for her allotment to daughter’s back yard. He also went to Boots and got us the free Covid testing kit - it’s not mandatory but those going to the islands are requested to do one. We’ve had the jabs which lessen chances of us infecting anyone.; but it’s only polite to comply.
I then braved Northumberland Street and went into Fenwicks. Of course I ended up buying a couple of tops in the sale, working on my premise of “don’t buy it unless you would have paid the full price”. (though neither was an essential purchase). I have enough “to see me out” as my mum would
have said. Good for my current low moral (though they didn’t help the bad foot limp along.)
Then we called on Marion and Ken who provided good conversation and good coffee. Marion has been using a program on her iPad in conjunction with her own paintings to write and illustrate a book for her granddaughter. It is beautiful. She’s a clever woman. Not only is she an accomplished musician, and fluent in French and Russian, she is also a really lovely person.
