Exploring conventions

I have used a wide screen cinematic crop to create this pear tree flower cluster - the instructions I used were from the course that I am doing and it is called Exploring Conventions. 
The narrator of the video instruction makes reference to the film of The Dark Knight. I have looked at the references to this film and it seems to be a dark moody background with some muted colours in the foreground. 

I am thinking more of a funeral posy here. I like it. 

There was bit of LR faffery including... wait for it - Split Tones 

On that subject, P kindly cut my hair for me today :))
