Hazel

A cold and showery day today.  This was to be expected as our painter arrived to start on the outside of our house today.  

This is a catkin and a newly emerging leaf on a contorted hazel tree that our elder daughter bought for us as a moving in present nearly 2 years ago.  It seems to have survived the winter frosts and snow and is looking really healthy.
