Pussy Pickpaws!

After my blip yesterday re fairy’s slippers I actually searched out the book the story was in... by Enid Blyton! the only other story I really remembered from that era when I was just beginning to read was about ‘Pussy Pickpaws’ ....a naughty cat who dipped her paws into lots of food ( including jugs of milk...who has those these days?!) . To teach her a lesson her mother put a balloon in a dish...supposedly looking like jelly. So...when she touched it it burst with a Big Bang...and she never put her paws in food again!
This story is from another book called “Somebody’s Darlings’ which has stories about cats and dogs who behaved in some ways like humans. No author named but illustrations by A E Kennedy. Interesting that books did not have ISBN or date they were published.
