Australian common garden katydid nymph

This tiny critter is about 7-8 mm long in the body including head but it has long legs and very long feelers. Being a baby it will undergo several moults as it grows. This one is on a rose. If it eats it, it will turn red and will keep that colour until its next moult. It will grow into a grasshopper.

Our garden is always something to celebrate, as is the wildlife I find in it. Today's bonus is the red and green colour combo - very festive, and complementary colours (ref. TonyL's 26 April blip).
