Cominchas
Being allowed to move outside the 5km limit that had prevailed since the start of this year, Susan and I decided to walk the dogs somewhere further afield. We wanted to avoid the regular beauty spots as they were likely to be crowded on such a beautiful Sunday morning. We decided on Cominchas forest walk near Coolbaun. At the entrance to the forest, two paths had been worn, so we took the second of these to avoid walking on the forest roads. There were areas of beech, cedar (?) and hazel scrub, most with plenty of spring flowers such as bluebells, primroses and violets. It was quite different from many of the other woods where we walk and a bonus was the beautiful views over Lough Derg.
