Progress?

The recycling bin contained nothing except plastic items; probably because the paper items had not yet been added.  None of the items in the blue bin would have existed when I was growing up in the 50s and 60s and it started me looking back at the differences between then and now.  Today's plastic packaging ensures that food items are untouched in the marketplace, but we are left with mountains of plastic to be disposed of
