Chaos

Because everyone needs a bit of chaos every now and then!

We moved some furniture around this afternoon. I have happy memories of sitting on the sofa in the window with Bean, waiting for daddy to get home of an evening, and have been missing that sofa in the window. So we moved it back today. It's lovely :) I'm looking forward to sitting up there with the Bear. He enjoyed waiting for Bean to get home from preschool, watching out the window. I'm working on getting him to say "hiya!"

An added bonus is that to watch TV now we have to sit next to each other on the other sofa, rather than either side of a divide! Superb!

Today hasn't been bad.

Outi cane round this morning and taught me how to crochet so now it doesn't annoy the heck out of me any more. I even made a passable crochet flower!!! Just a tad better than Tuesday's demented octopus.

And I made bullar/pulla/cakes. With yeast! And they worked too. Ever so slightly relieved - and pleased! - because they were from a recipe I've not used in almost seven years. Made 16 and there's three left. I think.

Got told off by preschool for sending a biscuit in in Bean's bag today :-/ oops.

Better bedtime tonight. No shouting at each other. A fair bit of procrastinating, but that's probably a given with a four and a nearly half year old. AND Steve and I have been able to watch nearly all of a movie together, by ourselves! I can't remember the last time we did that. I think it helped the boys that after tea Steve and the boys messed about in the kitchen while I washed up, lots of laughing and tickling and hugs and general contact and connecting.
