Colinton Tunnel Murals

A walk out to Colinton Tunnel with our friends J & D.   The murals all along the 140 metre Victorian railway tunnel are the quotes and visual interpretation of Robert Louis Stevenson's poem 'From A Railway Carriage' and also the history of the local community.  I've been out to the tunnel a few times over the two years that it's taken to complete the work.  It was created and led by mural artists who involved local schools.  It's wonderful uplifting art.  We walked back through Colinton and the Dell and made our way to Saughton Gardens for a coffee.   Great 20 km walk in lovely sunny weather.

Did a few hours in the courtyard garden when we got back.
