Bonnington House Garden
Today we left the City of Edinburgh for the first time since Christmas Day and before that October 27th! We had a fantastic visit to Bonnington House garden which was open under the 'yellow book' garden scheme. The house is a Jacobean Revival hunting lodge originally built in 1622. The 100 acre estate is owned by Nicky and Robert Wilson a large part of which has been developed into Jupiter Artland sculpture park. It was their private garden around the house which was open today. What a fabulous place - a parterre, laburnum walk, ornamental vegetable garden, the terrace and the most outrageous pool, designed by Joana Vasconelos, which you can see in this photo!
