Palnackie...
...looking across to Auchencairn - where my Great Grandfather came from.
We went looking for the secret beach that Anna had recently found but never actually got there! Somehow we took wrong turnings and the walk was so long that Frank and I (and Poppy and Arlo) ran out of steam after
about 3-4 miles. We ended up having our picnic on top of a rock surrounded by gorse bushes and wonderful views. We almost got lost on the way back too but managed to stumble upon the right track. It was a beautiful woodland walk though with lots of wild flowers - violets, wood sorrel, white campion, bluebells narcissus and daffies, and lovely views.
The weather has been glorious. Bella May had a whale of a time and we had a good laugh. :-D
Once back at Anna’s we collapsed in the garden exhausted and had coffee. Frank took the children back to their Dad’s then we had beer and ordered pizzas from the wee Pizzeria in Moniaive — Piccola Italia. They do Vegan thin crust and it was so delicious! I ate a whole one :-b
Anna and I watched Call the Midwife and now it’s bedtime.
I haven’t had time to comment on Blips but have read them.
Hope you’ve all had a great weekend.
Goodnight :-)X
