Peaceful at the ponds

I just had a short walk late this afternoon when it was still warm in the sun and the cold wind had died down. The light was good and the burn was sparkly and the swan was gliding around. Its mate was on the nest and didn't move. The black poplar is still very leafless.
It was church this morning and this afternoon was crafts and a little bit of gardening before my walk. Also a bit of sorting ready to leave the country for a few days, all the way to Cumbria.
