Worth Waiting For!

I've been waiting patiently for these tulips to open. I wanted something not too tall and with predominantly yellow flowers to match our front garden colour scheme. This one, called Ravana fits the bill. This is the most advanced flower, but the others are starting to open. Planting bulbs in late Summer / Autumn  alway seems like an act of faith, so it's always a treat when they finally flower!
The Greenfinch are here again today - at one point, there were 5 in the pyracantha bush outside the kitchen window. Not many berries left now. Fortunately, they seem to like the sunflower seeds too.
